Over the weekend of February 24-25, the Gordon’s Bay Yacht Club (GBYC) enjoyed their anticipated ‘raid’ weekend, cruising to Simon’s Town with 14 yachts. They were hosted by the False Bay Yacht Club (FBYC). This tradition, spanning many years, involves social activities and a playful "liberation" of items from the host club's clubhouse, to be returned during future raids. GBYC returned an artwork taken during a previous raid.

On the splendid 16th of September, we were treated to an extraordinary Harbour Festival and Navy open day. This remarkable event was a culmination of excitement, featuring a plethora of activities to indulge in. From thrilling raft races to enlightening educational displays, serene boat rides to relaxing moments in the beer garden, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Gordon’s Bay Yacht Club (GBYC) recently secured a multi-year sponsorship deal with Shane’s @ 99 on Beach, a prominent property development in Strand, for its flagship sailing event, the Gaul Regatta. The agreement, spanning five years, ensures the continuity of this premier sailing event in the Helderberg region. Tim Beardmore, the owner of Shane’s @ 99 on Beach, is not only a local businessman
