Gordon's Bay's Got Talent 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th May 2012.
Starts Friday, 4th May 2012 and will continue for the month of May, please come and support. NSRI - Station 9 fundraising project and also the CLUB to see the talent!!!
The other dates are the 11 May, 18th May and the finals the 25th May. (It looks like Tommy Dell will be the judge at the finals!)
The first night of Gordon's Bay's Got Talent was a great success. Thank you to everyone that supported the evening. Congrats to all the "winners" that have moved to the finals. Come and share in the fun every Friday evening and support the ...NSRI Station 9. Should you wish to enter, please go to their website and enter....we need to show Gordon's Bay our TALENT!!!
On Friday, 11 May 2012 was the second night for Gordon’s Bay’s Got Talent which proved once again that Gordon’s Bay does have Talent! The show was started off with a guest appearance from Jaco Loots who had the crowd’s attention and got the crowd clapping and dancing. The judges had a tough time as each contestant seemed to be as good as the previous one. Ralph kept the raffle bidding high and had the crowd out-bidding each other!
Thank you to the judges: Peter Robinson, Bronwyn Hamilton & Karen Combrinck as well as all who took part.
Through to finals: Karla Booysen, Lindi Erasmus, Nathniel Akuetteh. Runner up: “Mojo Jam Jar”

Potjiekos Competition on Saturday 19th May 2012.
On Saturday, 19th May 2012 there will be a Fishing and Potjie Competition held at GBYC. If you believe you are the best fisherman or can make the BEST Potjie, now is your time to shine! Should you wish to enter for the Fishing or Potjie competition please contact Lana on (021) 856 3263 or gbyc@gbyc.co.za
RULES:
Fishing Competition 1. Only fish in allocated area: Cape Point to Cape Hangklip including the Bay 2. All boats to have valid safety/seaworthy disc's 3. Radio - use VHF 71 Channel 4. Only fish caught off a vessel qualify 5. 1st Prize: heaviest fish caught
Potjie Competition 1. Judging will take place at 17h00 on Saturday 2. Own ingredients and recipes to be used 3. Potjie’s can be sold after judging
Prize giving will take place at 18h00 at Gordon's Bay Yacht Club on Saturday 19th May 2012.

Shipwreck Party on Friday 13th April 2012.
On Friday, 13th April 2012 we hosted a “Shipwreck” party with a Titanic theme. There were prizes for the “Best dressed”
BEST DRESSED:
Thank you goes to Le Roi, Lana & the Team for decorating the Club and the Titanic displays.
From the entertainment team we hope that future events will be better attended - by 6pm on Friday only 4 tickets were booked & paid for, but by 7pm, 20 people were onboard and the TITANIC set sail and a great time was had by all aboard!!!
The last New Member's Evening was on Wednesday, 2nd May 2012. Please watch this space for more on this event.
New Member's Evenings are usually held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm.
