New Members.
Every member who introduces a new paid-up
member to the Club can earn the following bar vouchers: Full membership - R100 / Other categories of membership - R50.
Voucher
will be handed to you once the new member has been approved and
attended the new members evening.

The club is open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am
till bar closing times. |
|
The Club will be open
every day as from Monday 14 December 2009 with the last Monday that
the Club will be open being 28 December 2009.
After 28 December 2009
the club will be closed on Mondays again.

House Rules.
-
No smoking in the club buildings. You are
welcome to smoke on the balcony and at the braai area.
-
Return glasses and empties to bar.
-
Discs are required to enter club.
Discs can be purchased at the club during office hours.
-
Minimum dress: T-shirts, shorts and sandals.
-
Head attire not permitted at bar.
-
No wet clothing in
the club house.
-
No children under 18 years of age allowed to sit at the bar.
-
No children under 18 years of age allowed to be served
alcohol.
-
All guests to be signed in.
-
No dogs are
allowed
in the Club, the braai area, stoep or on the moorings / walkways.
-
The use of cell phones will
not be allowed in the Club
House, but you are welcome to make/take calls in the braai area, stoep or
anywhere outside.
Transgression of
some of the above may result in the transgressor having to buy a round of
drinks for the bar!

Information.

Harbour
Authority: |
The harbour is controlled
by the Department of Sea Fisheries.
The Marinas are controlled
by GBYC.
The harbour is classified
as a 'no wake zone'. |

Approach and Radio
Procedure: |
All visiting yachts are
requested to contact GBYC to ensure a mooring before departing for
Gordon's Bay. GBYC can be contacted on VHF Channel 71 or on
+27 (0) 21 -
856 3263.
It is not advisable to
enter the harbour at low tide if your yacht has a draught of 1.8m or
more.
All boat skippers are
required to sign the log book on leaving and returning to the
harbour. |

GBYC Facilities: |
After-hours access to and
from the marinas to the showers and toilets can be arranged by
contacting the club manager on +27 (0) 21 - 856 3263.
There is a very scenic
balcony overlooking the harbour and a friendly bar and galley.

Gordon's Bay: |
The town of Gordon's Bay
is approximately 1km from the harbour where there are numerous
restaurants, Post Office and shops. There are also a few restaurants
in the harbour area.
